Device Activation Policy

Covered Devices
This policy applies to MTAP and TAP by MBS NFC cards, tags, bracelets, stickers, digital devices, welcome tags, replacement devices, and related physical or digital products.
Activation Requirement
Physical NFC devices may require activation through the approved MTAP activation flow before full use. Activation may require email verification, phone verification, OTP code, account confirmation, or other security steps.
Authorized Activation
Only the authorized customer, assigned account holder, or approved representative may activate a device. Unauthorized activation, cloning, transfer, resale, tampering, or misuse is prohibited.
Profile or Experience Linking
Upon activation, a device may be linked to a customer profile, Experience page, business page, or another approved MTAP destination based on plan limits and system configuration.
Plan Limits
Device activation, digital mirrors, additional cards, Experience features, profile features, and add-ons may depend on the customer’s MTAP plan and account status.
Device Compatibility
NFC performance may vary by phone model, NFC settings, phone case, operating system, browser, carrier, network, and hardware condition. We do not guarantee compatibility with every phone, case, browser, operating system, or NFC reader.
Replacement Devices
Lost, stolen, damaged, defective, or incorrectly activated devices may require replacement review. Replacement may involve additional fees, shipping, verification, device reassignment, or deactivation of the old code.
Suspension and Deactivation
We may suspend or deactivate devices used for illegal, abusive, fraudulent, misleading, unauthorized, harmful, or policy-violating activity.
